Solvent Polarity Effects on Exciplex Dynamics of Long Saturated Hydrocarbon Chain-Linked Pyrene-DMA and Pyrene-Julolidine

Abstract
Exciplex emissions from Py-12-O-2-DMA and Py-12-O-2-Jul in low- to intermediate polar solvents have been studied with steady-state and time-resolved spectroscopic techniques. The differences between two exciplex emissions suggest that the difference in electronic distribution caused by rotation around C-N bonds in electron donors.
