Abstract
With a Time-of-Use(TOU) tariff scheme, residential customers can adjust their energy consumption voluntarily to reduce their energy cost. The TOU tariff also provides flexibility in demand, so it can also alleviate volatility caused by increased renewable energy in the power system. However, due to uncertainty in customer’s behavior, it is difficult to expect changes in residential demand patterns through TOU tariff. In the study, the dissatisfaction model for each time slot is set as the energy consumption data of the customer. While reflecting the actual customer's pattern, the user also sets up a model of dissatisfaction that enables the user to achieve aggressive energy cost reduction. In the proposed HEMS model, it is also considered to use power generation for offsite shared PV jointly invested as efficiently as possible. The optimal HEMS scheduling result considering the dissatisfaction, cost, and PV curtailment was obtained. In this study, when scheduling to minimize PV curtailment, it was confirmed that the cost is rather increased. This informs that when PV is connected to the grid system, the system operator should provide incentives to customers.
