- Abstract
- were similar to the toxicity values of tobacco. In the case of event 1, approximately 5 years
after death, lung cells died, and approximately 44 years later, 50% of the lung cells died. In the
nonevent case, after 21 years, the lung cells showed the same concentration as the EC10, which
was 10% dead, and the EC50 value after about 255 years. The difference in chemical
composition between Event and nonevent indicates that the metal fraction (Zn, Pb, As), which
is known to be totally toxic at the day of the event, has increased and organic carbon has also
increased. Based on these results, it is judged that the difference of the chemical components
showed the difference in the cytotoxicity of nonevent and event day
