- Abstract
- Disordered plasmonics enable structural coloration with advanced photonic functions using randomly assembled nanoparticles. We present a rapid, proton-assisted electrostatic assembly method, offering wafer-scale monolayers of colloidal nanoparticles in seconds. Combining scalable fabrication with tunable optical properties, our work highlights how disorder can be engineered for striking visual effects and functions in photonic devices, allowing for various plasmonic applications, including secure tags, display, and sensing platforms.
