Abstract
Recently, water scarcity is becoming serious due to population growth and urbanization. To address this challenge, water reuse and water treatment technologies must be developed continuously. Among the water reuse and water treatment technologies, membrane technology has recently been used, because it has low energy consumption, compact system design, and environmental friendliness. However, in the membrane technology, flux decrease, driving pressure increase, effective life reduce due to membrane fouling are major problems. Nanocomposite membranes fabricated by combining polymers and nanomaterials. Nanocomposite membranes have high flux and high fouling resistance compare than conventional membranes due to unique physicochemical properties of nanomaterials. Thus allowing, nanocomposite membranes are emerging as a promising solution to membrane fouling. Therefore, we have developed a nanocomposite hollow fiber membrane with enhanced flux and fouling resistance.
