- Abstract
- The morphology of conjugated polymers (CPs) is a significant parameter to decide charge transfer property. Especially, having one-dimensional nanostructure is highly suitable for enhancing the characteristic. In this line, pre-assembly of CPs into nanowires (NWs) in the solution state has been widely used with advantages of well-controlled morphology and large scale production even though it is necessary for introducing an additional physical driving force to induce assembly of the CPs. Therefore, we have introduced the doping method to proceeding NWs growth and doping simultaneously without an introduction of physical driving force. We demonstrate doping induced assembly of P3HT into NWs by the addition of a small amount of dopant, and the NWs growth mechanism is studied for understanding the nature of the assembly by doping. This research can provide a useful strategy for fabricating doped organic semiconducting NWs with high electrical performance.
