Enhanced light harvesting in photovoltaic device based on randomly disordered structure

Abstract
Recently, natural resources are reaching their limits and the development of alternative energy sources is emerging. Typically, solar energy is used as a representative energy source to produce energy through photovoltaic devices. [1] Since the multi-junction solar cell shows excellent lifetime, stability, and energy conversion efficiency over a broadband solar spectrum, they show promising applicability in the earth and space environments. For feasible solar cell utilities, devices must be protected from various external environments and should minimize light loss. As an encapsulating layer, photonic structures such as a prism, blazed phase gratings, and diffractive grating have been introduced for the efficient light-harvesting system
