Experimental validation of multi-layer coil inductance estimation method

Abstract
An inductance estimating method, which has recently been suggested, was experimentally validated on circular multi-layer coils in this paper. The coil structure is treated as spiral coils connected in series. The parameters required for the estimation were obtained from a series of simulations involving a pair of spiral coils. The estimation was validated through a series of measurements. The result was shown to be very accurate.
