Abstract
We have developed a microscopy that uses fluorescence from tryptophan after three-photon absorption as image contrast. This microscope has several advantages over conventional fluorescence microscopy: no need for exogenous fluorophore, high signal-to-background ratio, deep penetration depth and 3D imaging capability. The homebuilt three-photon-induced fluorescence microscope and its characteristics will be discussed in this presentation.
