Antiferromagnetic order and valence fluctuation in EuPd2(Ge 1-xSix)2

Abstract
Magnetization and resistance measurements were-performed in the system of EuPd2 (Ge1-xSix)(2) with 0.0 <= x <= 1.0 Measurements have consistently demonstrated that localized magnetic moment state of Eu2+ is stable with antiferromagn.etic ordering for 0.0 <= x <= 0.8 and valence fluctuation state for 0.9 <= x <= 1.0. Concentration dependence of the Neel and valence transition temperatures are similar to the ones, previously reported in related En-based compounds and discussed in conjunction of other external parameters such as high magnetic field and pressure, The research also suggested that the compound with x = 0.85 shows peculiar nature of ground states between localized moment state and valence fluctuation state.
