High-pressure study of heavy fermion borocarbide YbNi2B2C

Metadata Downloads
Abstract
The electrical resistivity, p(T), of YbNi2B2C single crystal has been measured tinder pressures tip to 8 GPa. It has been found that the temperature dependence of p(T) has a weak pressure dependence and a maximum in the magnetic contribution, at 75 K at 2 GPa. The magneto resistance (MR) at 4.2 K has also been measured under pressures up to 3 GPa and shows a maximum at H-max which decreases with increasing pressure. The pressure dependence of MR is discussed briefly in connection with Kondo temperature. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
