Abstract
We present a study of the relativistic nondipole effects in strong-field tunneling ionization process driven by a linearly polarized laser pulse. We consider the role of these effects in breaking the symmetry with respect to the inversion of the momentum component perpendicular to the laser-field polarization direction, which the dipole differential ionization probabilities possess. The study is based on the solution of a three-dimensional time-dependent Schrödinger equation taking into account the leading-order relativistic corrections. © 2016 American Physical Society.
