- Abstract
- Conductive polymers are applied in various fields such as organic light-emitting diodes, solar cells, and bio-electrodes due to π-conjugation structure that single-double bonds are alternately present. Especially, PEDOT : PSS has the advantages of high transparency, excellent electrical conductivity, and easy synthesis to apply to large-capacity processes. In addition, PSS contained in excess of PEDOT : PSS is removed as a treatment process after using an organic solvent to improve the conductivity. In this study, synthesis of PEDOT : PSS was performed in different ratio of dopant (0.5, 2.5, and 5.0) to expose to gamma-ray (10, 25, and 50 kGy). Then, chemical and electrical properties were characterized such as 4-point probe, FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and XPS. The conductivity was increased from 198.7 to 237.5 S·cm-1 as the dopant ratio increased from 2.5 to 5.0, and the conductivity was decreased after radiated with gamma-rays. Therefore, gammaray radiated PEDOT is considered that can be applied to various fields by controlling chemical and electrical properties.
