An 8-bit 1.24 mW Sub-1ps DNL Sub-1V Supply Inverter-Based Phase Interpolator Using a PVT-Tracking Adaptive-Bias Circuit

Abstract
This brief presents an 8-bit inverter-based phase interpolator (PI) using a PVT-tracking adaptive-bias (AB) circuit. The AB circuit preserves the linearity of the PI for the PVT variation. The measured DNL of the PI is 0.4 LSB (0.78 ps). Fabricated in an 8 nm FinFET technology, the PI consumes a power of 1.24 mW and occupies an area of 0.035 mm(2).
